I used to keep all my costume rings an a ceramic pot but got fed up of fumbling through to find the one I wanted so I put on the thinking cap and this is what I came up with......
........Just a piece of foam......simples :-) |
So, I 'borrowed' a box from my office and put the foam inside.
Soon my collection started mating and the ring family grew very quickly so I decided to make a drawer set!
Outer Box |
Enough boxes to fit inside the outer box, these will be the drawers |
Remove lid from top box |
Cut a piece of card the same height of the drawer |
Glue pieces of card to the inside of the outer box |
Insert a piece of card to act as a shelf type thingy |
Insert next drawer and mark where next shelf needs to go |
Cut more card |
Glue below top shelf |
Insert second shelf |
Cut more side pieces to support shelf |
Remove lids & flaps |
You are left with a drawer |
Obtain a piece of foam |
Place drawer on top of foam and cut to size |
Insert foam into drawer |
I sprayed mine then cut slits suitable for ring size |
Insert rings!!!! Taaaaaa Daaaaaa!! |
I intend on covering the outer box and drawer fronts with good old sticky back plastic but am yet to find one that I like.
I hope that you like this post and possibly even try it out for yourself.
If you do be sure to let me know how you get on!
How do you store yours'?
